Silver Storm Files Technical Report and debt settlement

Silver Storm Mining Ltd. (“Silver Storm” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce that it has filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101“) Technical Report titled “Independent Technical Report for the La Parrilla Silver Mine, Durango State, Mexico” with an effective date of December 31, 2024 (the “Technical Report“). The Technical Report updates the Mineral Resource estimate at the Company’s 100% owned La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex, located in Durango Mexico.

The Company also announces that it has entered into a debt settlement letter agreement with a drilling service provider (the “Creditor“) to settle the Company’s outstanding debt for past services performed by the Creditor in the amount of $578,200 (the “Debt“) by issuing 4,818,333 common shares in the capital of the Company (the “Common Shares“) at a deemed price of $0.12 per Common Share (the “Shares-for-Debt Transaction“).

    List of 50 exempt items Gold and Silver included

    Non-tariff barriers are meant to limit the amount of imports/exports and protect domestic industries. In some relief to consumers globally, the Trump administration has kept some essential items exempt from the purview of these tariffs.

    Items exempt from the tariffs levied by Trump include copper, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, lumber articles, certain critical minerals, as well as energy and energy products.

    Gold and Silver “Technical Scoop”

    Another day, another record for gold. Gold is a go-to safe haven in times of economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and loss of faith in governments. The result was a 3.0% gain for gold this past week and a close at the magical $3,000.

    Other precious metals rose this past week. Silver was up 4.9%, while platinum gained 4.8% and is back over $1,000. Near precious metals saw palladium up 1.9% and copper gaining 4.0% as it marches towards $5.00.

    ERO Copper stock rating upgraded at TD Securities

    On Wednesday, TD Securities shifted its stance on ERO Copper Corp (ERO:CN) (OTC: ERRPF), raising the stock rating from Hold to Buy, while adjusting the price target to Cdn$23.00, down from the previous Cdn$26.00. The upgrade reflects a change in sentiment based on the company’s current share price and its future growth prospects.

    The analysts at TD Securities anticipate a significant turnaround in free cash flow (FCF) starting in the second quarter of 2025. They project a 95% year-over-year improvement in copper production for the current year, with expectations for continued growth into 2026.

    Poland copper mining tax to end in 2026

    Poland’s copper mining tax will fall from next year under a new system that will provide deductions related to investment spending, Polish finance minister Andrzej Domanski said on Friday.

    The tax on mineral extraction, including copper, was introduced in 2012. Poland’s biggest copper miner KGHM paid 3.87 billion zlotys in tax in 2024, according to its annual report.

    “By taking care of investments in Poland, by taking care of the development of KGHM, we also take care of the collective security of the West and the European Union.”

    Central banks are stocking up

    They bought over 1,000 tonnes of the precious metal last year, double the average amount purchased in the previous decade, according to a European Central Bank report published on Wednesday.

    The authors wrote that global holdings of gold by reserve banks increased to 36,000 metric tons in 2024, close to the record of 38,000 metric tons reached around 60 years ago.

    Now, central bank reserves are composed of, on average, the dollar, at 46%, gold, at 20%, other currencies at 18%, and the euro at 16%.
