Robert Kiyosaki takes to X again

Taking to his official X account, Kiyosaki called silver “the biggest investment bargain today.”

Kiyosaki wrote, “GOOD NEWS for people with not much money. I am buying more silver eagles today.”

“The good news is silver is the biggest investment bargain today.” He added, “Gold has already hit all-time highs. I have plenty of Bitcoin. And silver is still 50% below its all-time high… today about $35.”

“If a poor person bought a few ounces of gold or silver, or 1/2 of a Bitcoin…. I predict they may become the new rich….once this Depression is over.”

    Gold update, up 1.6%

Gold prices rebounded on Thursday as investors bought bullion following a sharp decline in the previous session, while the focus remains on U.S.-China trade tensions.

Spot gold was up 1.6% at $3,338.79 an ounce, as of 1140 GMT. Bullion fell as much as 3% on Wednesday in its worst daily performance since late November.

“Gold’s pullback earlier has cleared some of the froth from its latest surge. That, in turn, attracted some buy-the-dip action amid still-persistent global trade war fears,” said Han Tan, chief market analyst at Exinity Group.

“Given the still-evident tailwinds for this precious metal, gold bugs could ultimately conquer the $3,500 level with conviction.”

Spot silver fell 0.3% to $33.44 an ounce, platinum was steady at $972.15 and palladium was down 0.2% at $942.28.

Silver prices rise, how high will it go?

“Silver is showing signs of relatively higher momentum with the price trying to breach the crucial US$ 33 level,” Emkay said

Given silver’s diverse industrial applications, its price is projected to rise from its current level, reaching $36.60, $38.70, and $39.30 on COMEX, it said.

“Investing in silver funds with a 12 to 18 months’ time horizon is likely to be a worthy proposition.”

The gold-silver ratio is currently around 90, which suggests that silver is currently undervalued.

Gold prices down after trade truce

Gold prices have fallen almost 10% from a record high just above $3,500 per ounce in April as a de-escalation in U.S.-China trade tensions punctured momentum, but analysts are sticking with a bullish outlook due to strong underlying support for the metal.

Spot gold was trading around $3,180 an ounce on Friday, leaving prices on track for their worst week in six months.

“Gold prices are more likely to rise than to fall from this stage onwards as other factors like central bank demand and very strong investor demand from China are not going away anytime soon,” said Nitesh Shah, commodities strategist at WisdomTree.

Gold price up, Silver spot fell

Gold prices edged higher on Wednesday as a weaker dollar and simmering trade tension between the United States and China lifted demand for the safe-haven metal.

Spot gold was up 0.1% at $3,355.46 an ounce, as of 0836 GMT. U.S. gold futures edged 0.1% higher to $3,379.80.

“I think we are seeing the same concerns around trade talks, not much progress and that is adding to uncertainty over where tariffs will land, and that’s driving gold prices right now,” said Nitesh Shah, commodities strategist at WisdomTree.

Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Chinese President Xi Jinping is tough and “extremely hard to make a deal with,” days after the U.S. President accused China of violating an agreement to roll back tariffs and trade restrictions.

Spot silver fell 0.2% to $34.44 an ounce, platinum rose 0.9% to $1,083.22 and palladium lost 0.4% to $1,006.49.

    Investors rushing to safe-haven, gold

Spot gold hit a record $3,004.86 per ounce on Friday, marking its thirteenth all-time high in 2025. Prices have already climbed 14% this year, after surging 27% in 2024.

“With continued central bank buying, there are multiple factors driving demand. In a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty and ongoing tariff changes, appetite for gold remains strong,” said Standard Chartered analyst Suki Cooper.

“The inflation data is helping to give the market confidence that the easing cycle will continue, given concerns around inflation and growth,” said Standard Chartered analyst Suki Cooper.
