Trump Gold card will be launching in soon

U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said Wednesday that the Trump Gold Card, which makes it possible for any foreigner to buy a visa for $5 million, will be available online within weeks.

“The details of that will come soon after, but people can start to register. And all that will come over a matter of the next weeks — not month, weeks,” Lutnick said.

AngloGold profit surged and boosting payouts

AngloGold Ashanti (AU.N), is boosting payouts to investors, it said on Wednesday, after its profit surged to $954 million last year from a loss of $46 million in the prior year, buoyed by the precious metal’s rally to record highs.

Shares in the company however fell as much as 7.4% in early trading in New York.

CEO Alberto Calderon said the gold price rally had given AngloGold the strongest balance sheet position in more than a decade, and it is “able to pass on those benefits to shareholders in a more generous dividend policy”.

US oil to China might not continue

Oil flows from the United States to China in the early months of this year have reportedly added up to roughly 1% of the country’s imports, amid growing tariffs and trade risks.

“With China imposing 84% tariffs on goods from the US, the cost of US crude would be almost double — $51 a barrel more expensive, based on $61 WTI,” Ivan Mathews, head of APAC analysis for Vortexa told Bloomberg. “This makes running US crude uneconomical for Chinese refiners.”

US crude imports to China will “likely dwindle to zero in the coming months if the current tariff levels stay,” he added.

Gold prices fall as yield rises

Spot gold fell 0.2% to $2,634.52 per ounce by 2:27 a.m. ET (1927 GMT). U.S. gold futures settled 0.3% lower at $2,647.40.

“Bond yields are back up again, placing pressure on gold,” said Nitesh Shah, commodity strategist at WisdomTree.

“There’s speculation that Trump is going to pull back on tariffs … If (the prices of) commodities go up, inflation’s going to remain higher for longer,” Phillip Streible, chief market strategist at Blue Line Futures, said.

World Copper CEO Gord Neal needs partners to advance Zonia Copper project, Arizona

“The next phase of getting (Zonia) into production is a bankable feasibility study so you can fund it. A bankable feasibility study is going to cost $5 million to $7 million, and we don’t have that right now,” Neal said.

“The plan is to get it there, but we’re going to need partners to help us get it there. So that’s why (we’re doing) the strategic review, and it looks like we’ll have an announcement in the next few weeks on one of these opportunities.”

Gold, Silver and Platinum move above level

Gold tests historic highs as the strong rally continues.

A move above the $2850 level will open the way to the test of the $2900 level.

In case silver stays above the $32.00 level, it will head towards the next resistance at $32.75 – $33.00.

In case platinum settles back above the $1000 level, it will move towards the resistance level at $1025 – $1030.

Kentucky Considers Bill to Entice Gold and Silver Investors

The bill says, “any aggrieved taxpayer who has had taxes collected from them in any purchase that are exempt under KRS 139.480(37), may maintain an action for a refund on behalf of themselves and others similarly situated, without need to resort to any administrative process, against any person collecting or holding such tax funds, including the Secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue.”
