Silver Storm Files Technical Report and debt settlement

Silver Storm Mining Ltd. (“Silver Storm” or the “Company“) is pleased to announce that it has filed an independent National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101“) Technical Report titled “Independent Technical Report for the La Parrilla Silver Mine, Durango State, Mexico” with an effective date of December 31, 2024 (the “Technical Report“). The Technical Report updates the Mineral Resource estimate at the Company’s 100% owned La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex, located in Durango Mexico.

The Company also announces that it has entered into a debt settlement letter agreement with a drilling service provider (the “Creditor“) to settle the Company’s outstanding debt for past services performed by the Creditor in the amount of $578,200 (the “Debt“) by issuing 4,818,333 common shares in the capital of the Company (the “Common Shares“) at a deemed price of $0.12 per Common Share (the “Shares-for-Debt Transaction“).

    Royal Gold aquired Sanstorm Gold

    Sandstorm Gold (NYSE:SAND) +9.5% pre-market Monday after saying Royal Gold (NASDAQ:RGLD) agreed to acquire the company in an all-stock transaction with an implied value of ~$3.5B.

    Under the deal terms, Sandstorm (NYSE:SAND) shareholders will receive 0.0625 of a share of Royal Gold (NASDAQ:RGLD) common stock for each Sandstorm share held, a 17% premium to Sandstorm’s closing price on July 3; upon closing, existing Royal Gold and Sandstorm shareholders will own ~77% and 23%, of Royal Gold’s issued and outstanding shares on a fully diluted basis.

    Zambia says Saudi’s Manara interested in its copper assets

    Saudi Arabia’s Manara Minerals is looking for critical minerals projects in Zambia to invest in, the southern African country’s mines minister Paul Kabuswe told Reuters on Thursday.

    “They (Manara) are interested, but we do not know which ones yet,” he said on the sidelines of a mining conference in Riyadh, adding that an announcement on a potential mining deal between Zambia and Saudi Arabia is likely this year.

    “We no longer want those agreements where we have 10% or 15%,” he said, adding that the government is also holding talks with Barrick Gold, Ivanhoe Mines and Chinese investors on their plans for new projects.

    Gold prices rise after sweeping tariffs

    Gold rose after President Donald Trump delivered on threats to hit Canada and Mexico with sweeping tariffs and doubled a charge on China, spurring swift reprisals.

    Bullion climbed above $2,915 an ounce as Beijing announced 15% duties on some American farm goods, including cotton. Geopolitics was also in the spotlight after the US paused all military aid to Ukraine.

    Spot gold rose 0.8% to $2,914.45 an ounce at 10:45 a.m. in London. The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index fell 0.2%. Silver and palladium gained, while platinum was little changed.
